A non-GMO corn chip for salsa lovers!

MysticPurpleCornChipsThe Huffington Post states in its Top 7 Genetically Modified Crops report that 88% of corn grown in the U.S. is genetically modified. So, if you’re a corn chip and salsa lover—but you’re trying to avoid GMO foods—what are you to do?

Well, there’s good news on this front: Some manufacturers are taking notice of the educated shoppers who wish to avoid GMO’s. And while the non-GMO products in mainstream grocery stores are still usually buried by all the junk, you can, in fact, find them.

On such example is Axium Foods. Their ‘Mystic Harvest’ tortilla chips (pictured) are a multi-grain chip made with a high-antioxidant non-GMO purple corn. Since the company just announced that their product is now available at mid-west Costco stores, we can hope that it will soon be available in all our neighborhood grocery stores!
