Are Pharmaceuticals and their medical lackeys Running Scared?

Just recently the media has promoted wear pink for breast cancer awareness day and  red for heart problem awareness day. What will it be for diabetes day? Blue? Purple? Will we magically be cured by the color we wear? No, of course not. But you can bet your patootie there’s a pharma medicine or intervention ready to come to the rescue for every ailment we have or might get. Pharmaceutical commercials tell us about them incessantly.

Meanwhile, they are racheting up the attack on natural treatments, and supplements containing foods and herbs that have been used medicinally for thousands of years. In Australia a powerful lobbying group calling itself  ‘Friends of Science in Medicine,’ have gone to war on universities which offer courses on homeopathy, chiropractics, Chinese herbal medicine and other alternative treatments that have helped countless people, saying they are “quackery” and that taxpayers should be protected from them. What a crock!

The European Union has put in place numerous regulations banning hundreds of traditional herbal remedies. And then there’s the U.S., where millions of people have died in the last few decades from complications related to pharma’s chemical drugs. However, the Food and Drug Administration, famous for  raiding farms and health food stores and confiscating raw milk and food supplements which have killed no one, has no time to investigate chemical concoctions. In addition, they have the ‘burden’ of perfecting their New Dietary Ingredient (NDI) regulations which seek to erect even more obstacles against real food.

Frankly, I think they’re worried to death about the growing number of people seeking a better way to live than a dependence 0n frequently obnoxious and sometimes deadly chemicals.

After all, what will be left to hold up our floundering economies without the immensely profitable pharmaceuticals?  Collateral damage aside, it’s for the greater good.

Isn’t it?

Or are the people of the world being subjected to a protection racket?
