Mothers Defy FDA, March for Raw Milk Dec. 8

How many ‘wars’ must the government wage?

War on Drugs, War on Poverty, War on Terrorists, War on Tobacco, etc., etc.. Now it’s War on Raw Milk. Of course none of the ‘wars’ are ever won. They just go on and on, providing lots of government jobs and creating endless human misery.

Well, if a bunch of determined mothers and others have their way, the War on Milk is another one that won’t be won. In a media alert issued November 28, Liz Reitzig, co-founder of the Farm Food Freedom Coalition says many mothers and friends will defy the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s Ban on distributing raw milk across state lines by transporting 100 gallons of raw milk from Wisconsin to Chicago’s Independence Park on December 8 and distributing it to customers waiting at the park.

Over the past year, the FDA and state authorities have conducted numerous raids on farms, buying clubs and businesses distributing raw milk and other health foods. Several have been put out of business and are facing charges.

“It is a God-given, inalienable right to engage in direct, private transactions with our food producers,” says Max Kane, director of a Chicago area food buying club. “Americans deserve to know that the FDA is using their tax dollars to target and prosecute independent, peaceful farmers and their customers.”
