Pesticides and our bodies

PesticidesInOurBodiesPesticides and our bodies are closely related.

One billion pounds of pesticides annually are sprayed on U.S. crops alone, many, if not most of them containing some form of glyphosate.

They are absorbed through your skin and make their way to organs, cells, urine, blood and even breast milk, causing numerous health problems

Ninety percent of GMO crops  grown in the world, excluding the European Union (EU), depend on those pesticides for existence— and more are used every year as GMO crops grow ever more resistant to their own manufactured chemical protective shield.

Even in the environmentally-aware, EU a German study on urine found a 5 to 20-fold level in their study subjects of those toxins over the limit established for drinking water.

Another study found that animals and humans primarily eating GMO foods have extremely high levels of pesticide/glyphosate in their urine, and chronically ill people have even higher levels.

This study was published in the Journal of Environmental & Analytical Toxicology.

The insidious toxins enveloping modern life even find their way into breast milk.

Moms Across America and Sustainable Pulse sponsored an independent study (Breast Milk Study) and found that 3 of 10 of their subjects had levels 760-1600 times higher than the EU Drinking Water Directive allows for individual pesticides.

However, nursing mothers consenting to this non-government or industry study were much more likely to avoid GMO foods and try to eat healthy and organic when possible, said Zen Honeycutt, Founder and Director of Moms Across America.

Levels of pesticides in non-aware or non- attentive mothers are likely to be much higher, Honeycutt said.

Industry and government agencies such as the EPA, USDA and FDA say the poisons are excreted. Other scientists disagree and say amounts remain after excretion and are cumulative over the years.

The Organic Consumers Association has demanded that the agencies at least ban glyphosate, saying it is highly detrimental to developing fetuses and young children.

A new study on blood called The Effect of Metabolites and Impurities of Glyphosate on Human Erythrocytes (in vitro) encompassing 18 different countries, explains how Monsanto Roundup chemicals are invading and accumulating in human blood.

While it is true much is excreted in a healthy human system, say researchers, small amounts remain and accumulate over the years.

It seems that pesticides and our bodies are indeed linked in an unholy alliance. Perhaps they are not Roundup Ready!

The study was published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.

It is notable that U.S. health agencies have NO ongoing monitoring of human absorption of toxins.

According to GM Watch, government-supported industry studies proclaiming the safety and benefits of all GMOs and pesticides, “are weighted with conflicts of interests, including three Monsanto employees as authors!”

On the other hand, Russian scientists have found much to doubt about GMOs and their deadly addiction to increasing amounts of chemical pesticides. Apparently they have come to the conclusion that pesticides and our bodies are linked—and not in a good way.

President Putin himself has imposed a ban on growing and importing GMO products.

His aim is for Russia to be the first major country to be GMO-free. What a concept!
