The Health Moderator is a multi-contributor blog focusing on all aspects of healthy living. We comment on everything from micro and macro nutrients to health freedom issues that affect our right to choose our own pathway to health.

As our blog title implies, our underlying belief is that healthy living has room for moderation. If you are a hardcore vegan, you may find this blog is not for you. In a similar vein, if you are convinced you can be healthy by consuming a diet of hormone and antibiotic-injected meat three meals a day, you, too, will probably decide this blog is not for you.

We feel that most people do want to improve their lives in the health arena—but that they don’t want to be beat over the head with hardcore, unrealistic agendas. By recognizing that most people live hectic and stressful lives, a nutrition and health blog that leaves room for moderation will have a better chance of interesting and involving the masses.

One area that will receive wide coverage in this blog is the pharmaceutical industry. We will consistently report on its connection to the medical establishment and its destructive influence on the U.S. medical system as a whole. The United States represents only 5% of the world’s population, but consumes almost one-quarter of the world’s pharmaceutical drugs. It is time that we acknowledged that this is a problem.

Related to this, we will also report regularly on governmental restrictions and regulations that affect our ability to practice our “health beliefs” as we see fit. Whether hard core or moderate, we must all unite to protect our right to do this. We hope you will check back periodically to stay up to date on health freedom issues.

And for those reader who are “health moderates”… you can expect a post every 24 to 48 hours covering everything from full-length articles on superfoods to “quick tip” posts you can read in 30 seconds. We promise you will get a benefit from becoming a regular reader.
